Editing Mission Statement

I want to bring out the best in every writer I work with, challenging them to consider every sentence and paragraph. I'll revise chapters with authors until both parties are happy with the result—my editing is not a one-read-through-scan—my editing is a process. which I teach as I edit, enabling the authors I work with to avoid, in subsequent work, the kind of mistakes we find, and the best ways to correct them.
